dailymail: 50 police officers arrested in child porn raids

  Why ain't I surprised. I know for sure that we have similar issues here in Sweden.

"At a press conference at Scotland Yard today, Jim Gamble, assistant chief constable of the National Crime Squad, said he was not surprised at the number of police officers among the suspects.
"As police officers, we should expect to be held accountable," he said.
"Fifty police officers have been identified and we are not hiding that fact. We want you to know about that to reassure you.
"Police officers are member of the communities that they serve and there will be good people and bad people in the police."
Mr Gamble said the 50 officers were among 1,200 Britons who had been identified as "category one or two" suspects - those who posed the greatest potential risk to children.
In addition, 40 children nationwide - 28 of them in London - had been identified as being at risk of being abused and appropriate steps had been taken with other agencies to ensure that all the youngsters were safe."

Gång på gång får jag ta del av hur socialtjänsternas hantering av familjeärenden missköts grovt, ett bristfälligt och felaktigt beslut får enorma konsekvenser för familjer. Det vore i så fall bättre om inte socialtjänsten fanns överhuvudtaget, än att de har mandat att ta beslut som krossar människor. Det behövs insyn och öppenhet kring socialtjänstens arbete, tjänstemannaansvaret behöver återinföras, legitimering av de handläggare som arbetar med familjeärenden borde vara ett krav, lagarna behöver förändras och bli tydligare.

"Det är en tragisk historia som nu uppdagas i Borås. En kvinna våldtogs och misshandlades av sin man i 20 år innan hon lämnade honom. Tillsammans med två av de tre barnen fick hon skyddad identitet och tvingades flytta mellan olika skyddade boenden innan de slutligen fick en fast bostad.

Polisens särskilda avdelning för hedersrelaterat våld gjorde bedömningen att det fanns risk för patriarkalt våld och hon fick ensam vårdnad om de två minderåriga ­flickorna samt ett polislarm. Det borde ha stannat där. Dessvärre fortsätter det."

Iowa City Mom sues DHS for placing 5-year-old into Foster Care based on false allegations

"Iowa City mom, Jessica Wilbur, has filed a civil lawsuit against the Iowa Department of Human Services for placing her 5-year-old daughter into foster care, based solely on the word and signature of the child’s non-custodial father, Robert Nino.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Johnson County District Court, alleges that Ms. Wilbur’s constitutional rights were violated by DHS director, Charles Krogmeier and DHS investigator, Paul Lafauce because of the circumstances under which they place her daughter into foster care."
